Tutoring
I teach guitar/classical/bass/ukulele/theory lessons to various pupils ranging from primary school children to adults and from beginners to advanced students and have also taught workshops in big band music and rock and pop workshops.
Experience teaching left handed pupils mainly due to my first guitar teacher being left handed so I’m very used to viewing the guitar from different ways round.

Past Teaching
Northern Music Academy
Since January 2009 I was a tutor at the Northern Music Academy in Pontefract near Leeds. Here I taught classical, acoustic, electric and bass guitar to both children and adults. The younger students worked through either the ABRSM (Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music) for the classical students or the Rockschool or R.G.T. (Registry of Guitar Tutors) grades for the electric or acoustic pupils. The older students who are less interested in grades focussed on what they to wanted to achieve individually as I tailored each lesson around them.

Leeds College of Music
I taught ensembles and was workshop leader at Leeds College of Music, helping teach students how to develop their skills in playing and writing in ensembles. In the workshops I worked alongside other tutors to provide a variety of in-depth workshops covering subjects varying from the Music Industry to Recording and Production Skills. I have also taught applied theory lessons and writing score to moving picture.
